The Classical List focuses exclusively on art music performed by professional musicians and/or presented by non-profit music organizations or academic institutions. Inclusion of any particular event is entirely at the discretion of the editor.
Because we seek to provide accurate, timely information to our readers, we ask that only the appropriate representatives provide The Classical List with performance information. Whenever possible, please provide a link to pertinent information on an official website. When contacting The Classical List, you may be asked to provide additional information or verification if event details are not publicly available.
Event descriptions may be published in whole or edited/summarized to adhere to The Classical List publication standards, including correction of factual inaccuracies (e.g. composer biographical information) or removal of excessive hyperbole. When publishing a description provided by the presenter verbatim, the content will be prefaced with an attribution text.
Corrections will be verified and published to the website as soon as reasonably possible. Under some circumstances (ex. a last minute change of venue or event cancellation) and at the discretion of the editor, an update email will be sent to appropriate newsletter subscribers.
Communication with the editor or member of staff of The Classical List is considered “on the record” (unless explicitly agreed to by all parties in advance) and may be used in full or part on the various publication methods we use, including the website, blog posts, and email newsletters.
There is no charge for submitting an event.
